This is a sketch of how I wanted Sash's face to look at the early stages of designing her face shape and looks. I rather like the slim face shape and big eyes.

Here is some prototype Shell structures I have come up with for Sash. I have taken into account the ballerina shape and also the eye colour, hair colour etc. I have used a model of her to try and explain the detail in which she will come across. I must say, she's looking rather attractive and I'm pleased with how she looks so far. As for her perfomance, I'll be testing that out in a later stage.

I kept going over in my mind at how Sash would actually come across in the Grid. Her personality was in place, all the coding correct. It did take quite a time to finally put everything together into her micro-processor. Personality traits are important in each and every program. There is no room for mistakes.

Ok, second part of development is looks. How will she looks when programs come across her. I thought of her being around '5"3 with brown hair. I decided on brown because I think it'll suit her face shape more. She'll have big brown eyes and a doll face. Her smile will be small but friendly, giving away her friendly personality. She'll also have the ability to frown, which goes with her stubborn streak.

Her build will be pretty tiny but sturdy. I have actually based her upon a ballerina for the time being. I can actually see as being slight like a ballerina, good on her toes. Being a doctor and analyst, she needs to be able to move around fast and with agile speed.

I'll code her hair, eye colour and body shape as soon as I fit the matrix into the gene coding circuit. This will help create the shell structure which will be Sash. I'm pleased with how she is going so far. No problems. Just like when I built Clu, I had all the elements in place for him just as I have for her. She is starting to look very pretty and cute I must say. Back to work, Flynn. No time to stare at her.

Heh, I'm pretty pleased with the work so far. Sash is coming along nicely. The next step will be to incoporate her personality with her body structures and looks. That will be the key step to actually having her come together as a real person.

Ok, enough for today.

Over and out, man.

Creation of Stand-alone Shell (Sash)

Date: 07/1989

The idea. It first started with the idea to create a program who would be functional in data-recovery and medical abilities. I want to create a program who  would help other programs with data faults or in need of healing. As for gender, I've decided on a female form as she will be aesthetically pleasing as well as very intelligent.

The details such as height, weight, eye colour and hair colour will come at a later stage. For now, I want to focus on her abilities first. A healing program  as well as data-recovery. She will be able to assist damaged programs and have a wide knowledge or circuitry failures and healing patterns. I want her to be able to distinguish between a virus attack and a common Grid injury. She will be able to use her skills to patch up any part of the program's body while giving helpful advice if needed. Sash will have a calm temperament but also a stern attitude towards failure. She'll want to correct any failures that she encounters and broadening her horizons where needed.

She will be what most programs will come to know as the Grid doctor. The data-analagist and problem solver. That is my aim towards creating Sash for the Grid and it's inhabitants. She will know about ISO anatomy also, with my knowledge of them implanted into her systems. There won't be any program that she can't heal or any problem too big for her. That is the aim anyway.

I think I'm just about done on this section of the progress report.

Over and out, man.
